Carl passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 24, 2025, at the age of 91. Knighted in the Order of St. John for fifty years of service with St. John Ambulance, and granted arms by the Canadian Heraldic Authority. Predeceased by Grace, his wife of 58 years. (Obituary, Adams Funeral Home, Barrie.) Earlier homes, as the family remembers them: 1 Allan Avenue, Mimico (Toronto); and at the Crotchley's, north of Lawrence just off Yonge.
